Biography
- Scott joined the Eclipse team in 2013 and is now a Principal and Group Director of the Portland office. His effective communication skills and dedication to his craft enable him to provide structural solutions that address the needs of the Pacific Northwest.
- Scott’s expertise is the design of wood and heavy timber structures, with additional competency in steel, concrete, masonry, and other proprietary product specialties. His philosophy that there is always more than one correct answer to any problem leads to creative detailing and design for unique situations.
- Scott has guided Eclipse Engineering into the Timber Framers Guild as a company member and participates in the Timber Frame Engineering Council. He is also an accomplished musician.
Fun Fact
I grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio where chili doesn’t have beans and it’s served on spaghetti and hot dogs.
Engineering was a natural attraction for me. As a kid I was obsessed with rollercoasters and good at math.
I received my jazz performance minor on upright bass while doing my bachelor’s in civil engineering.
