Rolf Armstrong, P.E., S.E.

Biography

• Rolf has 25 years of experience working on educational, institutional, commercial, residential, and adventure-based projects as an engineer and project manager. He is an expert in the structural design of concrete, masonry, steel, and wood. Rolf strives to be thoughtful in his design approach and develop creative solutions tailored to suit project needs and client preferences.
• Rolf has been the Bend Group Director since 2004 and has developed a cohesive team that works on projects within the local community and across the nation. As a principal and structural engineer, he is licensed in dozens of states and serves as Engineer of Record on many Eclipse projects. He is an active mentor and engages engineers throughout Eclipse to develop engineering strategies and solutions.

Fun Fact

I’m originally from Minnesota, where ketchup is a hot sauce, it’s polite to laugh at all jokes, chopping wood is an exercise routine, winter sports are a real thing, fishing opener is a holiday, we all cheer for the Vikings, and nobody has an accent.
