Biography
As Eclipse Engineering’s President and CEO, Jesse Fortune is both a working engineer and leader of the firm. His relatable style helps him to develop and maintain strong client relationships. His priority is to understand the needs of every client and ensure added value in all phases of every Eclipse project. His passion for creating a great place to work is evident in employee satisfaction and workplace atmosphere. Under Jesse’s leadership, the firm has grown from nine employees to 70, and continues to be recognized by Zweig Group as one of the Best Firms to Work For in the nation.
As an Eclipse team member, Jesse provides expertise in the design of schools, commercial buildings, and single-family/multi-family residential structures. He also works as an expert to help resolve legal conflicts for light-framed wood construction, pre-engineered wood truss failures and standard-of-care disputes.
Jesse has represented the larger Montana engineering community as a director and board member of the Structural Engineers Association of Montana, and together with his family is an active member in the Missoula community. Jesse also enjoys golfing, working out and recreating on Montana’s lakes. He is a proud Montana State Bobcat but also enjoys supporting the University of Montana football and basketball teams.
Fun Fact
I broke a horse when I was 10 for a 4-H project. My dad, who is a master horse trainer, rode the horse in competitive team roping events for more than a decade.
